It’s everywhere. 'Breakfast is the most important meal of the day'. 'Why you should be eating breakfast'

Does breakfast really have the biggest impact on your day?
What you have for breakfast can set the tone for the rest of your day. It’s recommended that you have a well balanced breakfast. With whole grains, fiber, dairy, fruits or vegetables.
If you don’t eat breakfast in the morning then it can lead to binging or overeating later in the day. A breakfast with higher protein can help you feel full for longer. When you skip out on breakfast you are missing out on some essential nutrients that you’ll need for your day like minerals and fiber.
So what exactly are the benefits to eating breakfast?
Encourages healthier eating
Blood sugar levels will be better balanced/managed
Helps prevent spikes, is especially good for those with type 2 diabetes
Increase energy levels
Increase in physical activity which helps prevent fatigue
Promotes heart health
Decreased risk of high cholesterol and high blood pressure
Stimulates the brain
Increases ability to focus, reason and process information
A good rule of thumb seems to be eating within two hours of waking up. I am one of those people that has to eat something within about 30 minutes of waking up while I have people in my life that dont feel hungry for anything until the afternoon (lunch time). If you don’t eat breakfast and you feel good doing that, then do not think you are doing the worst thing for yourself by not eating breakfast. It was common thought that eating breakfast promoted healthy behavior, those that ate breakfast were healthy. It seems that it is more of a correlation; people who eat breakfast generally also engage in other behaviors that are considered ‘healthy’.
Now, if you are someone you doesn’t eat breakfast and wants to start then I can offer some advice. The common response I hear when people don’t eat breakfast, is that they just dont have time. Or they just aren't a breakfast food fan.
If you feel like you don't have time:
Plan out breakfast for the week - know what you’re going to have
Make it the night before
Oats
Bars
Remember it doesn't have to be a big spread it can be something quick (smoothie, breakfast shake)
If you’re not a fan of breakfast food:
Don’t eat breakfast food
Eat what you want; what you eat for breakfast is a lot less important than your nutrient intake over the whole day
Remember balance
Some breakfast ideas:
Breakfast sandwich (sausage, cheese, egg, english muffin)
Oatmeal - can add fruit, yogurt, peanut butter
Omelet - can add cheese, peppers,
Scrambled eggs on toast
Smoothie - add some spinach and yogurt
Ultimately, whether you eat breakfast or not is a lot less important than if you are adequately nourishing your body throughout the day. You do not have to earn your food. Your body needs nutrients in order to it’s job.
P.S. my breakfast hyper-fixation right now is breakfast sandwiches (delicious).
